Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the app for you:

• Account details. Your name, email, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google profile photo.
• Financial data you add. The income, expenses, savings, budgets, goals, and (for business accounts) revenue and costs you enter or import.
• Conversations with Finley. Messages you send to the AI coach and the context needed to answer them.
• Payment details. When you subscribe, our payment provider handles the transaction. We receive a confirmation and your plan, but we never see or store your card or mobile money credentials.
• Usage data. Basic, privacy-friendly analytics about how the app is used, to keep it fast and reliable.

How we use your information

• To provide the app: show your dashboard, track your money, and run your account.
• To power Finley: analyze your numbers so the coaching is specific to you.
• To process subscriptions and keep your plan active.
• To send important account and support messages.
• To fix problems, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

AI coaching and your data

Finley uses a third-party AI model (Anthropic’s Claude) to turn your numbers into advice. When you chat with Finley or request insights, the relevant financial context is sent securely to that provider to generate a response. We do not use your financial data to train any AI model, and the provider processes it only to return your answer.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that make MoneyGates work:

• Google Firebase for sign-in, database, and secure storage of your account.
• Anthropic to generate Finley’s responses.
• Fapshi and other payment providers to process subscription payments.
• Vercel for hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
• Email delivery services to send account messages.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.

Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with Google Firebase’s managed infrastructure. Access to your account is protected by your login. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Your choices and rights

• Access and edit. You can view and change your data anytime inside the app.
• Delete. You can delete entries, or request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
• Export. Contact us if you want a copy of your data.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal and financial data, except where we are required to keep limited records (for example, payment confirmations for accounting).

Children

MoneyGates is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
